In the upcoming 2023-24 World Cup season, Norway’s Espen Granerud will be aiming to win his third overall trophy. This feat will make him the fourth man in history to achieve this honor. Last season, Granerud dominated the competition, winning six more titles than his closest rival. This year, he will face stiff competition from Poland’s Dawid Kubacki and Austrian veteran Stefan Kraft, who finished second and first respectively in last year’s competition. Japan’s Kobayashi Ryoyu, the reigning Olympic champion, is also looking to improve upon his fifth-place finish from last season. Slovenia’s Anze Lanisek and Poland’s Piotr Zyla are also ones to watch in the upcoming competition. Switzerland’s Simon Ammann, a four-time Olympic champion, will be competing in his 26th World Cup season. Additionally, the Polish duo of Zyla and Kubacki are favored to win the men’s large hill super team event after taking home the inaugural title last year.
