Our Model Predicts the 2024 World Series Champion, Playoff Odds, and Win-Loss Records

A total of 100,000 simulations of the 2024 MLB season were conducted, and the results showed an Astros/Dodgers World Series matchup. According to the model, West Coast teams dominated both the American League (AL) and National League (NL) playoffs.

The projections included win-loss records for all 30 MLB teams, which were used to seed six teams for the playoffs. In the AL, the AL East was projected to be competitive, with the majority of wins going to the top teams in the division. The AL Central had a clear front-runner, with the other teams trailing behind. The AL West also had a clear leader, with the other teams not expected to perform as well.

On the other hand, in the NL projections, there was a clear front-runner in the NL East. The NL Central and NL West also had strong top teams. In both leagues, exciting matchups were seen during playoffs as top-seeded teams faced off against Wild Card entries. Ultimately, according to predictions by model, Dodgers would come out victorious over Astros in World Series matchup.
