Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones is likely to miss the upcoming game against the Detroit Lions due to a knee injury sustained during the team’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jones has been diagnosed with an MCL sprain and is unlikely to play on Thanksgiving. The team will consider him week-to-week as he recovers from the injury.
In addition to Jones’ injury, the Packers also saw Emanuel Wilson leave the game with a shoulder injury. Both players were unable to participate in practice on Monday. To fill in for their absence, the team signed Patrick Taylor to the active roster and added veteran James Robinson to the practice squad.
This is not the first time Jones has missed game time this season, as he was sidelined for three games earlier with a hamstring injury. So far this season, Jones has recorded 66 carries for 245 yards and two touchdowns in the seven games he has played.
