AOC has announced a new 27-inch monitor, the Q27G3XMN/BK, that combines MiniLED technologies with excellent performance and is aimed at gamers looking for an affordable HDR gaming experience. The monitor’s Fast VA panel offers QHD (2560×1440) resolution and features MiniLED backlighting that supports 336 dimming zones, making it VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified.

The Full Range Local Dimming (FALD) backlight solution enhances the HDR experience by allowing some parts of the screen to be completely black while keeping others at a very high brightness. With a color depth of 10 bits (8 bits + FRC), the monitor produces 1.07 billion colors and high color gamut coverage (+95% DCI-P3). It offers a 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG response, making it perfect for fast-paced games.

The monitor is also equipped with an ergonomic stand that offers numerous options for height, tilt, rotation, and adjustment. Additionally, it features Flicker-Free technology and Low Blue light to protect your eyes during prolonged gaming sessions. The Shadow Control option allows gamers to adjust shadow levels and highlights to customize the visual experience of gaming, making it easier to see enemies hiding in dark corners. The monitor also supports Adaptive-Sync, which eliminates tearing and stuttering caused by disproportionate frames.

Covering the sight (Dial Point) allows gamers to aim accurately in FPS gaming where the sight is missing. The OSD features of the monitor can be adjusted using the AOC G-Menu software or simply using the OSD buttons on the monitor itself. AOC says the monitor will arrive in November at a suggested retail price of €399.
