On Tuesday, China’s Foreign Ministry issued a warning to Argentina that cutting ties with major countries such as China or Brazil would be a “serious mistake.” This statement came after the election of Javier Milej as President of Argentina on Sunday. The newly elected leader has been critical of China and Brazil and has expressed plans to strengthen ties with the United States.

Diana Mondino, an economist who is expected to become foreign minister under Miley’s administration, has stated that her country will not join the BRICS group. This news has raised concerns about the future of bilateral relations between Argentina and China, which have been important trade partners for many years.

Mao Ning, a spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, commented on this development by saying that the two sides have strong economic complementarity and enormous potential for cooperation. She added that China is willing to continue working together with Argentina to promote stability and long-term development in their relationship.
