Bally Sports Southwest, a subsidiary of Diamond Sports, has agreed to broadcast both home and away games for the Texas Rangers. The deal will see Bally Sports Southwest air a total of 153 regular season games as well as four spring training games. The first spring training game is set to air on March 14. The regular season coverage will begin on March 30 with a game between the Rangers and the Chicago Cubs at Globe Life Field.
In recent news, it was reported that Diamond Sports had filed for bankruptcy protection. However, last month it was announced that the company would be partnering with Amazon as part of a restructuring agreement. This agreement was approved by a Houston judge last Friday.
