Bill Nye, the Science Guy, to appear in Central Texas for April 8th’s total solar eclipse | San Antonio

Bill Nye “the Science Guy” will lead a two-day camping experience in the Texas Hill Country on April 7-8. The Planetary Society, which is led by the 68-year-old TV personality and science educator, will host the Eclipse-O-Rama event at 3319 Lower Crabapple Road.

The festival will feature various speakers, including YouTuber Mark Rober, science educator Science Bob, and Planetary Society radio host Sarah Al-Ahmed. Tickets for the Eclipse-O-Rama festival are priced at $325 per person, covering daytime programming from Sunday through Monday night. Children aged 5 and younger can attend for free.

However, the event is exclusive to Planetary Society members. If you are not a member, you can become one by paying a one-time annual fee of $50 during the Eclipse-O-Rama registration process.
