Get involved in discussing science culture

We are excited to announce the launch of our new series, “Taboos and tricky topics,” which aims to explore the challenges surrounding science culture. On February 14th, we will be hosting a live discussion featuring representatives from the chemistry community who will share their insights and experiences.

This series is a follow-up to our Vision for a Great Science Culture, where we outlined the values, behaviors, and expectations necessary for creating a positive science community. As we continue to work towards this goal, it’s important to address the tensions that exist within science culture. For example, balancing career advancement with dedicating time to improving aspects of science culture can be difficult for many individuals.

We want to provide a platform for people at different stages of their careers and from diverse backgrounds to share their perspectives on these issues. Additionally, we welcome your input through our questions and comments section where you can submit anonymously.

To participate in this conversation, visit our YouTube channel or LinkedIn page at 4pm UK time on February 14th. You can also submit your questions and comments leading up to the event. For more information about this series and how you can get involved, please visit our website.
