On Friday, the Central High School football team will be playing in the PIAA Class 3A playoffs. As the District 6 champion, they will face off against District 10 champ Hickory at Mansion Park at 7 p.m. The last time they played was a double-overtime win over Clearfield in their first interdistrict game.
In addition to Central, another District 6 team, Cambria Heights, has also earned a spot in the state Class 1A playoffs. They will be facing off against District 4 champ South Williamsport on Saturday at Williamsport High School at 7 p.m.
On Friday, two more District 6 teams will be competing in the playoffs: Bald Eagle Area and Juniata. Bald Eagle Area will take on District 4 champ Southern Columbia at Mansion Park at 7 p.m., while Juniata will visit District 4 champ Selinsgrove also at 7 p.m.
