The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the UAE is dedicated to strengthening partnerships with international companies, investors, and businessmen. Their goal is to develop economic relations between the emirate’s business community and counterparts globally. They aim to support businesses in their expansion into regional and international markets to facilitate trade exchange and solidify Sharjah’s position as a global business hub.
The Chamber recently held a meeting with its Board of Directors, chaired by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board. During the meeting, they discussed ongoing projects and achievements in enhancing economic activities in Sharjah. They emphasized their commitment to supporting the business sector, promoting sustainable economic growth, and diversifying the emirate’s exports.
One of the key initiatives that the Chamber has been working on is developing infrastructure in industrial zones to attract investments and establish partnerships through international collaborations. They are also actively seeking new opportunities for partnerships and investments through various agreements, business forums, and trade missions. Additionally, they have obtained international certifications in quality management, business continuity, and environmental standards to ensure excellence in service quality and institutional development.
Another area of focus for the Chamber is entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). They support these businesses through initiatives like opening new headquarters and facilitating participation in international events. Furthermore, they engage in social responsibility activities to contribute positively to the community and promote sustainable economic practices.
During the recent meeting, the Chamber also reviewed the performance of its regional branches, preparations for upcoming festivals and events, and collaborative efforts with the tourism sector. Plans for the Sharjah Summer Offers Festival aim to support the retail sector, boost marketing activities, and attract tourists to vibrant markets
