Svetlana Ražnatović, also known as Ceca, was born in 1973 in Prokuplje, Serbia and is considered one of the most famous Serbian singers of all time. She gained recognition after marrying war criminal Zcarongeljko Razcaronatovi Arkan, the commander of Serbian paramilitary units. In recent years, Ceca has been planning to avoid Croatia and has shared her handling of negative publicity in a recent interview.
Despite facing legal issues involving crimes of genocide against Bosniaks, crimes against humanity, and grave violations of the Geneva Convention, Ceca continued to gain popularity and adoration from Croats. However, her plans to hold a concert in Maribor in March have sparked controversy among citizens. Three young people were caught on camera destroying posters promoting the concert in Lanište and Dubrava, causing outrage among the community.
In response to criticism, Ceca stated that she believes music transcends politics and borders. She emphasized that she is adored by Croats and is unshaken by extreme minority attacks. Despite facing challenges and controversies throughout her career, Ceca remains determined to continue performing and sharing her music with fans around the world.
