Jay Moorman Quoted as Bluestone-Backed CTI Acquires Asymmetric Technologies

Asymmetric Technologies has recently been acquired by Chesapeake Technology International (CTI) in a move that will enhance its product portfolio and technology capabilities to better serve Department of Defense and national security customers. Founded in 2011, Asymmetric specializes in open-source technologies, flight controllers, and waveform technologies tailored to meet the specific needs of national security and DOD clients.

By integrating Asymmetric’s IronClad and Whisper systems into its offerings, CTI aims to provide more comprehensive software and purpose-built hardware products to its customers. This acquisition reflects CTI’s commitment to investing in its business to address the evolving national security landscape. CEO Jay Moorman expressed excitement about the new opportunities this acquisition will bring to the company.

This transaction marks CTI’s second investment in delivering new platforms to meet the unmanned aircraft system requirements of the DOD. As a portfolio company of Bluestone Investment Partners, a private equity firm focused on middle-market businesses in the defense and government services sector, CTI is well-positioned to provide cutting-edge solutions to its customers.
