Embark on a Cosmic Adventure with Catawba Science Center’s New “Expanding Horizons” Exhibit

The Catawba Science Center is thrilled to announce the launch of its latest exhibit, “Expanding Horizons: The Solar System & Beyond”, on July 10th in the Hall of Astronomy. Located next to the Millholland Planetarium, this permanent exhibit offers visitors an immersive journey through space and beyond.

One of the main attractions is a Mars pod that transports guests to the red planet, allowing them to experience what it would be like to live on it. In addition, a new planetarium show titled “Destination Mars” will be narrated by former NASA astronaut Mae Jemison, providing visitors with an exciting and educational experience.

To learn more about the exhibit and planetarium show, visit the Catawba Science Center website at CatawbaScience.org/Hall-of-Astronomy. The Science Center is located on the SALT Block at 243 3rd Avenue N.E. in Hickory and operates from Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Visit today and explore the wonders of outer space while expanding your knowledge of the universe!
