Encompass Health reveals initial intentions to construct a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in San Antonio

Encompass Health Corp., a national leader in rehabilitation care, has announced plans to build a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in San Antonio. The facility, located in Westover Hills, will provide specialized care for patients recovering from various conditions such as strokes, neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and orthopedic conditions.

Encompass Health is the largest owner and operator of rehabilitation hospitals in the United States with a network of 160 hospitals across 37 states and Puerto Rico. The company offers advanced rehabilitative care for patients recovering from major injuries or illnesses.

The new hospital will feature private patient rooms, a therapy gym equipped with advanced technologies, dining room, pharmacy, and therapy courtyard. This facility aims to provide high-quality compassionate care that will help patients regain independence and return to the community.

This new location will be part of Encompass Health’s national network and its 28th location in Texas.
