The Ministry of Commerce recently held a meeting with the Unfair Price Evaluation Board to discuss inspections in the new vehicle, cement, and ready-mixed concrete sectors. As a result of these discussions, fines totaling over 105 million lira were imposed on 36 businesses. In particular, 20 companies in the new automobile sector were fined 71 million 337 thousand liras, while 16 cement and ready-mixed concrete companies were fined 33 million 791 thousand liras for applying exorbitant prices.

In addition to these fines, the Ministry announced that it has stopped the publication of new vehicle advertisements on Facebook. This decision was made after it was discovered that many advertisers had not properly verified their identities when posting ads on advertising sites. The Ministry has since made it mandatory for all advertisers to verify their identities before being allowed to post ads online.
