Food Poisoning incident at Thanh Hung Service Company: What Happened and How to Prevent it in the Future

On July 4, the Department of Health fined Thanh Hung Service Company Limited 180 million VND for providing meals that caused 127 workers to be hospitalized. Despite having sufficient conditions and a business license, test results showed that histamine levels in the fish samples were 40 times higher than the standard level, potentially causing the poisoning. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause.

The workers showed symptoms including rashes, vomiting, stomachaches, and diarrhea after lunch on June 27. Seven workers were diagnosed with anaphylactic shock and received treatment at Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital. The investigation is ongoing to identify the root cause of the food poisoning incident.
