Deputy Director of the Daniel Sancho Investigation, “Big Joke,” Released on Bail for Money Laundering Charges

The former Thai Police Deputy Chief Surachate Hakparn, also known as Big Joke, has been released on bail after being implicated in money laundering for an online betting network. He had previously ignored three police summonses before the court issued an arrest warrant against him. Surachate maintains his innocence and states that the case is still in the allegations phase. The former deputy director of the Thai Police had applied to be appointed director of the Police, but was removed from his position due to a power struggle within the force. This case comes amidst ongoing investigations into the high-profile investigation involving a Spaniard and a Colombian individual for premeditated murder. Despite these legal issues, it is important to note that the allegations against Surachate are unrelated to this case.
