The Superior Health Foundation awarded $722,065.93 in proactive pediatric mental health grants to six organizations at its fall grant award celebration in October. The Michigan State University – Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions, Inc., Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc., Catholic Social Services of the Upper Peninsula, Northern Michigan University and Marquette-Alger RESA were among the recipients.

These pediatric mental health grants will be awarded over a two-year period and are aimed at improving the mental health of children in the region. Accepting grant awards were representatives from each organization, who expressed their gratitude for the support from the Superior Health Foundation.

The event was presented by 44North and was attended by numerous community members and stakeholders interested in supporting mental health initiatives for children. As part of the celebration, guests were treated to a photo booth featuring props related to mental health and wellness. (Photo courtesy of the Superior Health Foundation)
