Taylor Heise represents Team USA at the IIHF Women’s World Championship

Taylor Heise is a 24-year-old forward for the U.S. Women’s National Team and a participant in the upcoming IIHF Women’s World Championship. She was selected as the first overall pick in the inaugural PWHL Draft last year and has represented her country on an international stage before, with this being her third time with the senior team.

Heise values the opportunity to be on the ice with people who have made significant contributions to the sport of hockey, seeing it as a privilege to learn from them every day. Her appreciation for the sport and those involved in it is evident in her dedication and hard work, which led her to excel at the University of Minnesota before being drafted into the PWHL.

As she prepares for her sixth World Championship, Heise recognizes the sacrifices made both on and off the ice to reach this level. She acknowledges the growth of women’s sports and the impact of those who have contributed to its development, including those who drafted her by her home state team, Minnesota.

Coming from a basketball family, Heise chose hockey as her path early on and never looked back. Now, as she represents her country with pride at this prestigious program, she feels grateful for this opportunity and honored to be part of such an esteemed team.
