From Blossoming to Closure: Farmer’s Buffet Bids Farewell After Three Months in Peoria

Farmer’s Buffet, the American-style buffet located at 206 W. Camp St., announced its closure with a heavy heart after three months in business. The news was shared on the business profile on Google with a photo that read “Our journey has come to an end.”

Farmer’s Buffet opened in mid-March, taking the place of Pho Noodle House. Owner Sam Mach had described the business ahead of the opening as offering pizza, a carving station, a dessert bar, a salad bar, daily specials and more. The Journal Star post announcing the opening sparked plenty of conversation among community members with over 360 comments and 288 shares.

In its closing announcement, Farmer’s Buffet thanked the community for its support and said “we are incredibly thankful for the memories we’ve created together.” The closure adds to the list of restaurants in the area that have recently shut down including a downtown Peoria restaurant that closed nearly one year after its revival in an iconic spot and a Peoria Heights Mexican restaurant that closed after less than two years in business.
