West Seattle Crime Watch: Two Business Burglaries, Safe Found; Interrupted Car Prowler

This morning, four crime reports were filed in West Seattle. The first two incidents involved business burglaries. In the first incident, a safe was taken from the Morgan Junction Domino’s during a crash-and-grab burglary. Despite the initial reports of a crash, it was discovered that the safe was actually stolen. While there was no significant damage to the business, the safe was recovered and returned to its rightful owners.

Later in the afternoon, a reader emailed in a photo and report about a safe found dumped south of The Junction. It is unclear if this safe is connected to the theft at Domino’s, but it has been retrieved by law enforcement officials for further investigation.

Finally, just before 5 am today, a car prowl occurred in the North Admiral/Schmitz Park area. The suspect was seen checking car handles in the vicinity and was eventually scared off by a neighbor before any theft could take place. No arrests have been made yet, but police are continuing their investigation into this incident as well.
