West Georgia Technical College Appoints Mike Jiles as Vice President of Operations and Technology

Mike Jiles, who has been with West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) since 2009, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations and Technology. Jiles, who served in the military for 20 years and has prior experience, started out as Facilities Director at WGTC and over the past 15 years progressed to roles such as Executive Director of Facilities and Assistant Vice President of Facilities.

During his tenure at WGTC, Jiles played a key role in merging two college facilities departments and overseeing significant construction projects in Douglas, Coweta, and Carroll counties. His leadership and creativity drove substantial changes in the facilities and operations of the college, raising the bar for team dynamics and infrastructure. Dr. Julie Post, President of WGTC, expressed her delight in working with Jiles, praising his ability to raise the bar for the facilities division, team dynamics, and infrastructure.
