AFWERX and SpaceWERX Issue Call for Space-Related Technology Submissions

The Department of the Air Force’s commercial investment arm AFWERX AFVentures has just released two new programs aimed at providing financial assistance to transition Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) contracts into Phase III work. These programs, known as the Strategic Funding Increase (STRATFI) and Tactical Funding Increase (TACFI), offer funding between $3 million and $15 million over 48 months for STRATFI, and between $375,000 and $1.9 million over 24 months for TACFI.

Interested small business concerns must submit a capability package by April 12 in order to be considered for these opportunities. Under the program year 24 rules, only an SBC’s government point of contact is eligible to submit the package on their behalf. These programs are designed to support the delivery of capabilities needed by the Department of the Air Force (DAF) by providing financial assistance to small businesses working on space technology projects.

Stay updated with AFWERX AFVentures to learn more about the support available for space technology submissions and how these programs can help your business grow and succeed in this exciting field.
