Male Seminary Recreation Center provides a range of sports leagues and services for men.

The Male Seminary Recreation Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, is a hub for sports and fitness enthusiasts. Known as “Markoma,” the center offers a range of sports leagues including volleyball, basketball, pickleball, cornhole, and softball.

Lead Rec Specialist Terry Hooper is thrilled to see the center open its doors to the community and invites everyone to participate and stay healthy. Cherokee Nation citizens can enjoy access to gym equipment and fitness classes for free, while non-citizens can join for a membership fee of $20.

With a focus on promoting movement and wellness for all ages and abilities, the center hosts various leagues throughout the year. The fall basketball league kicks off in November, followed by volleyball, pickleball, cornhole, and softball. In addition to these leagues, there is a senior’s class that meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This class plays chair volleyball while enjoying their time at the center.

The Male Seminary Recreation Center is located at 1501 Graham Ave in Tahlequah and is open daily with varying hours from Monday to Thursday, Friday, and weekends. Interested individuals can call 918-453-5496 for more information on participating in the leagues or accessing the gym equipment and classes available at the center.
