Helsinki Stock Exchange Opens Higher Amid Regional Rise; Kalmar and Cargotecin Among Notable Movers

The Helsinki Stock Exchange opened higher on Thursday, with the OMXH general index up 0.2 percent at 10,074.54 points shortly after the start of trading. Among the most exchanged stocks were In this (+0.6 %), Nordea (+0.6%), and Sambo (+0.6 %), while trading for Training (-0.3%) and Nokia (-0.6 %) were down.

The stock markets in Asia rose on Thursday following Wall Street’s lead, with expectations of a possible interest rate cut by the Fed in September. While there was relatively quiet company-specific news in Helsinki on Thursday, some notable movers included Kalmar, which was up 0.4 percent at 27.14 euros, and Cargotecin, which was up 0.04 percent at 45.16 euros
