Top performers from Memphis area high school spring sports in Week 4

Week 4 of the 2024 Memphis area high school spring sports season saw some impressive performances. In baseball, CBHS defeated Houston 11-1 with Riley Goodman as the winning pitcher, striking out eight batters in three innings. Hank Stalnaker had two RBIs and two stolen bases, while Holden Robinson and Will Brick each had two RBIs. FACS beat Lausanne 12-6 with Kayden Hartunian as the winning pitcher.

In softball, Brighton defeated Collierville 12-0 with Aliya Garcia going 3-for-3 and scoring two runs. Houston took down Bartlett 11-10 with Maddie McClure hitting 3-for-4 and scoring three runs. Maci Frederick hit 2-for-3 and scored two runs, while Ella McKnight had two hits and scored two runs. St. Benedict beat Munford 2-0 with Jorja Wheeler pitching a complete game, allowing three hits and striking out 11. Izzy Henderson and Charlee Smith each had two hits. Arlington defeated Southwind 16-0 with Brooklynn Knight as the winning pitcher.

On Monday, Briarcrest defeated Munford in boys soccer with Chandler Cross scoring two goals and Coleman Loving scoring one goal each, while Andrew Painter contributed one goal and an assist.
