In the first half, Albania’s Nedim Bajrami scored just 23 seconds into the game, leaving Italy struggling to keep up. However, Alessandro Bastoni equalized for Italy in the 11th minute with a free header from close range. Italy maintained control in the second half, but goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was forced to make a crucial save in injury time to secure the win.
Italy will face Spain next in a match that could determine the outcome of the group. Meanwhile, Albania will look to revive its campaign against Croatia.
