Andrea Belotti has officially joined Como, a newly-promoted Serie A side, after completing his transfer from Roma. The cost of the operation is believed to be €4m plus an additional €1m in add-ons. The preliminary contract has been signed, with the transfer window set to officially open on July 1. Belotti has agreed to a two-year deal with Como.
In a statement, Belotti expressed his excitement about joining Como, citing the impressive project presented by the coach and ownership group. He highlighted the coach’s mentality and approach to football as key factors in his decision to join the club. Belotti sees Como as an ambitious project with the right mindset for success.
Having spent the last six months on loan at Fiorentina, Belotti scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 46 competitive games between the two clubs this season. The 30-year-old Italy international initially made his mark at Palermo before moving to Torino in 2015. He joined Roma as a free agent in 2022, making the transfer to Como a profitable one for Roma.
Como earned promotion to Serie A by finishing second in Serie B this season under the guidance of coach Cesc Fabregas. Belotti is excited to begin this new chapter with Como and is confident in the team’s potential for success.
