Joey Logano has emerged as the winner of Sunday night’s NASCAR Cup race at Nashville Superspeedway. The event, which went a record-breaking five overtimes, was full of excitement and fierce competition. Despite his best efforts, rookie Zane Smith finished in second place, followed by Tyler Reddick in third and Ryan Preece in fourth.
Christopher Bell dominated the race by winning both stages, but unfortunately crashed in the third stage and ended up finishing in 36th place. Logano’s victory had a significant impact on the playoff cutline, as he moved up from holding the final playoff spot to becoming the 11th driver to secure a playoff spot with a win. With seven races left in the season, there are now five spots for the playoffs via points.
Alex Bowman currently holds the final playoff spot, while Bubba Wallace is the first driver outside of a playoff spot, trailing Bowman by 51 points. Chase Briscoe follows behind Wallace by 78 points, and Kyle Busch is 104 points behind Bowman in the playoff race.
