Rose successfully qualifies for Open, while Garcia once again misses the mark

Justin Rose and Dominic Clemons tied for the top spot at Burnham Burrow in Somerset, securing their places in the Open Championship at Royal Troon. Rose, a veteran of the tournament who has played in every Open since 2007, will be looking to improve on his previous performances. Meanwhile, Sergio Garcia fell short for the second year in a row, finishing two strokes shy of qualifying. His low world ranking as a result of joining LIV Golf means he currently only qualifies for the Masters. Dan Brown, Sam Horsfield, and Royal Liverpool amateur Matthew Dodd-Berry also successfully qualified through their performances at Dundonald Links. The 152nd Open Championship will take place on 18-21 July.
