Olivette’s Latch, soon to be Door, acquires technology support company

Latch Inc., led by Ring doorbell founder Jamie Siminoff, has announced plans to acquire HelloTech, Inc., a technology support company. This year, Latch will be rebranded as Door, with the Door app launching on July 4th.

Latch offers a smart lock system for multi-unit residences that allows users to access various areas without a physical key, using phone access or passcodes instead. The acquisition of HelloTech will serve as the foundation for Door Services, which will enable users to hire local service providers already working in their building.

HelloTech provides technology installation and 24/7 support through a network of over 2,500 agents nationwide. They offer solutions for setting up devices, consolidating smart home technology, boosting connectivity, and more. Micah Stone, the chief growth officer for Latch, will become president of Door Services after the acquisition. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2024.
