Spring sports activities in Lenawee County are in full swing

High school sports season has kicked off in Lenawee County this week. On Monday, the girls soccer teams took to the fields. Clinton emerged victorious over Tecumseh with an impressive score of 8-2. Aubrey Lauer scored six goals for Clinton, while Anna Schaffner added two more goals and two assists. Kaylee Raiser also contributed two assists in the match. Goalkeeper Jackie Whiting made six saves for Clinton, while Tecumseh’s Shaylinn Drouillard scored both of her team’s goals.

In another game, Monroe bested Blissfield with a final score of 7-2. In lacrosse action, the Tecumseh girls team started their season with a tough loss to Sylvania Northview with a final score of 16-4. Sapphira Williams and Emily Burgess each scored a goal and added an assist for Tecumseh. Jayden Poley and Jazlyn Reau also netted a goal each in the game.
