Police investigating after a man reportedly stole an ATM from a business

A man is being investigated by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office after allegedly stealing an ATM from a business in Boyce. According to RPSO, on February 12, around 4:55 a.m., a man approached a business in the 5500 block of Old Boyce Road and backed up a black Ford Fusion into the building. He then rammed the front doors, breaking them off the hinges to gain access to the building.

Once inside, RPSO said the suspect took the ATM machine, placed it in his vehicle and left the business about six minutes later. The black Ford Fusion should have heavy damage to its rear and is missing side mirrors. It also lost its rear bumper and several undercarriage items.

The suspect is wanted for simple burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property. RPSO is currently investigating the burglary and asking for any information related to the incident from members of the public.
