AI and health informatics steal the show at Informatics Day 2024

On April 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the College of Professional Advancement (COPA) at Mercer University will be hosting its sixth annual Informatics Day. This year’s theme is focused on Artificial Intelligence and Health Informatics, and it will take place in the Administration and Conference Center, Room 190 on Mercer’s Atlanta campus.

The event is presented by COPA’s Department of Informatics and Mathematics, with the goal of engaging students with professionals in the field and promoting the College’s technology-related programs. Dr. Feng Liu, professor of informatics and chair of the informatics and mathematics department, emphasized their commitment to serving the community through technology.

Informatics Day will feature presentation sessions that aim to expand students’ knowledge of the informatics field and related job opportunities. The lineup for this year includes a Cybersecurity Specialist/Business Information Security Officer, a Robotic Software Engineer, an FBI Agent, three outstanding Mercer informatics alumni, and representatives from the Mercer Center for Career and Professional Development.

This event is free and open to all current and prospective Mercer University students as well as faculty members. To learn more about Informatics Day, you can contact benramadan_aa@mercer.edu.
