Nebraska picks up Hawaiian offensive lineman, Michigan State focuses on football center prospect

The Michigan State Spartans targeted Hawaii native Houston Kaahaaina-Torres as one of the top prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. The Spartans were not alone in their pursuit, as they were also joined by Arizona State, Nebraska, and Utah in the race for the interior offensive line target. However, despite their best efforts, Michigan State fell short in the recruitment process and lost out on the prospect to another Big Ten school.

In the end, it was Nebraska who emerged victorious in the battle for Kaahaaina-Torres’ commitment. Although Michigan State put up a strong fight, they were unable to secure his services.
