NASA has recently awarded the Consolidated Agency Technology Transfer Services contract to Summit Technologies & Solutions, Inc., located in Alexandria, Virginia. This performance-based firm-fixed price contract has a mission services value of $26 million and a maximum potential indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity value of $55 million. The contract will begin on June 1 with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
Summit Technologies & Solutions will provide tech transfer support to NASA at various centers, including the agency’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, and Stennis Space Center in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. The company is also eligible to support other agency field centers under the enterprise contract as a HUBZone small business set-aside contract. Its main responsibility is to help NASA identify and protect intellectual property with commercial potential and transfer those technologies to various entities for job creation, economic development, and technological advancements for American companies.
