Hans K. Reisch has been appointed as the new CEO of Spar AG with immediate effect. He will take over from Mag. Fritz Poppmeier, who was previously the CEO of the company, and will continue to work with three other board members: Mag. Markus Kaser, Paul Klotz, and Marcus Wild. The supervisory board of Spar Austria made this decision after Mr. Poppmeier became unable to continue his duties due to illness.

He has been a member of the board since 2001 and became deputy chairman in 2021. During his time on the board, he had already demonstrated great success in his role as a member of the management team.

Mag. Marcus Wild is also a member of an owner family and has been on the board of Spar AG since 2021. He previously built up the Spar subsidiary SES European Shopping Centers and made it market leader for shopping centers in Austria and Slovenia.
