The Fargo Parks Sports Center is set to open to the public on June 3rd, despite the facility’s construction not being complete until the new year. Despite this, the impact of the facility is already being felt by many individuals. Susan Faus, the parks executive director, noted that the move to the Sports Center was necessary due to the lack of space at their previous location, with staff working out of makeshift closets. Now, the new facility offers ample space for staff and visitors alike.

The Sports Center offers a variety of amenities including basketball courts, a full turf field, a walking track, concession stands, lactation stations, and state-of-the-art rehab and training facilities provided by Sanford sports. Employees like basketball manager Freddy Coleman are excited about the possibilities the facility offers, not only for their work but also for their families. Coleman shared his excitement as a father, envisioning his children enjoying the diverse opportunities available at the Sports Center over the next decade.
