Capcom recently announced that they are working on a new installment of the popular video game series Resident Evil. The upcoming game will be directed by Koshi Nakanishi, who previously worked on Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil: Revelations. While details about the game are limited, Nakanishi stated that developing the follow-up to the previous game was challenging, but they now have “something substantial” in progress.
In addition to the new Resident Evil game, Capcom also unveiled news about Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. Kunitsu-Gami is an action-strategy game based on Japanese mythology, where players take on the role of Son, tasked with protecting Yoshiro, a priestess. A demo of the game is available for players to try out on various platforms ahead of its official release on July 19. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster features improved graphics and three-dimensional audio and will launch on September 19. Players will take on the role of photojournalist Frank West, who must battle zombies in a shopping center. The game will also support multiple languages for text and voice input.
