The Olkiluoto nuclear power plant’s triple reactor repair work is currently experiencing delays, according to a recent report from The Power of Industry (TVO) service in X. Initially, it was anticipated that the repair, inspection, and testing process would take less time than expected.

However, a recent estimate suggests that full production of the triple reactor will not begin until Tuesday, November 21 at 6 p.m., which is a delay from TVO’s initial estimate of production starting on the same day at noon. Despite this setback, TVO has confirmed that the interruption in electricity production caused by a faulty turbine plant on Sunday evening has been resolved. The cause of the failure was identified as a faulty temperature measurement of the generator’s cooling system. However, TVO has assured that this incident did not impact nuclear safety.
