Bango Honors Champions of Racine Elementary School’s Fresh Air Science Fair

Racine’s Julian Thomas Elementary School fifth graders were celebrated for their participation in a two-month-long Fresh Air Science Fair. The fair began on February 1st, with students forming teams and creating projects that brought the concepts of clean air pollution to life. Entries were judged based on the quality of research and data analysis, as well as the creativity of their presentations.

The winners of the Fresh Air Science Fair were announced at an award assembly on Wednesday, March 27th. Special guests included Bango, the Milwaukee Bucks mascot, and the Rim Rockers, a trampoline dunking team. The first-place team members received three tickets to the April 10th Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, along with transportation to and from the game and concession stand vouchers for use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third place teams received Bucks merchandise as prizes.

The event was made possible through a collaboration between Modine, the Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. Congratulations to all winners of the Fresh Air Science Fair at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine!
