Rams retain John Johnson with contract extension

The 28-year-old John Johnson is officially staying with the Rams after signing a new contract with the team. Originally drafted by the Rams in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Johnson spent four years with the team before moving to the Cleveland Browns for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

While Johnson admitted that he may not have met expectations during his time with the Browns, he has proven to be a solid contributor during his stints with the Rams. In 2023, he returned to the Rams and appeared in all 17 games, starting in eight of them.

Now, he will have the opportunity to continue making an impact with the team for another year as he officially signs a new contract with the Rams.
