In the upcoming fall season, the City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism department is offering flag football, cheerleading, volleyball, and soccer for registration. The sports available for the fall season include flag football for ages 5-12, cheerleading for ages 5-12, volleyball for ages 9-18, and soccer for birth years 2006-2020. Each sport has a registration fee of $65 per person.
The City of Aiken is committed to providing equal opportunities for all children to participate in these sports. For those who may need financial assistance, applications for the Fun Funds Youth Scholarship are available to help cover the cost of registration for football, cheerleading, and volleyball for those who qualify. First-time registrants must register in person and provide a birth certificate. In-person registration can be done at the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center located at 1700 Whiskey Road.
Children who have played previously can register online at cityofaikensc.recdesk.com. The City of Aiken has partnered with Aiken Futbol Club to organize the recreation soccer league. The club will oversee the league while upholding the city’s values and standards. Soccer teams are co-ed and include girls.
