Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, is currently working on various generative AI tools and features for its platforms. One such feature is an AI-powered tool that allows users to create personalized images of themselves using a set of their own photos. The beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.24.14.13 includes this feature, which is called ‘AI-generated images for you’.
With this feature, users can select a set of their photos to be analyzed by Meta AI in order to generate personalized images. Users will need to take “setup photos” of themselves for the AI to analyze and generate new images based on those photos. The feature can be accessed by typing ‘Imagine me’ in the Meta AI assistant’s conversation, which will start generating personalized AI images based on the user’s photos and text descriptions.
This new feature on WhatsApp aims to give users a more personalized and interactive experience on the platform. It is still under development and will be available in a future update, but it will be optional and can be disabled in the app’s settings. However, it’s important to note that Meta AI is currently only available in a few countries and is still awaiting implementation in Europe due to regulatory issues.
