The annual Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department’s Lighted Fire Truck Parade and Tree Lighting is returning on Friday, December 1st from 6pm to 9pm. This event brings together area fire departments in the spirit of unity and collaboration. The parade route will take fire trucks from Broadway to Main Street with Santa Claus as a special guest. Following the parade, a tree lighting ceremony will take place in Berkeley Green from 6:15pm to 7pm. Santa Claus will light the tree while everyone is invited to join in a festive holiday sing-along with the Northern Lights Choir. Warm cookies and hot cocoa will be available next to the bonfire.

Kids will have an opportunity to visit Santa from 7pm to 9pm at the Saranac Lake Free Library. Children are welcome to share their wish-lists with Santa and capture the moment with a photo. At 7:30pm, a 40-foot tree donated by Moody Tree Farm will be lit in Riverside Park. This event is made possible by the support and collaboration of several valued organizations, including the Women’s Civic Chamber, the Saranac Lake Free Library, Adirondack Health, and the Northern Lights Choir.

Area fire departments, businesses and organizations interested in entering a vehicle into the parade are welcome. RSVP to Santa Parade Chair Douglas Peck at [518-891-2414](mailto:518-891-2414) or westfirefighter17@hotmail.com.
