New Eye Spy exhibit now open at Science City in Union Station

Kansas City, Missouri’s Science City is a must-visit destination for families and kids alike. The latest addition to the popular interactive exhibit is the Eye Spy, featuring 2,000 square feet of immersive activities designed to engage visitors of all ages. This new exhibit replaces the Mister E Hotel and includes hand-painted and spray-painted murals with hidden illusions that tie into Science City and its legacy in Kansas City.

The Eye Spy exhibit offers 15 illusive photo ops and hands-on activities for visitors to experience. In addition to the interactive exhibits, Science City also boasts a never-before-seen custom curated video technology called the Travelvator that virtually takes visitors on a journey around the outside of the station. Each room within the exhibit is based on one of five categories: color, nature, art, technology, and perspective.

Visitors can expect to walk into a space filled with 256 colors and patterns to clear their mind and shock their senses. They can also experience the firefly forest leading into an elephant stampede in the nature room, explore the mind-twisting art-filled space, virtually journey through Union Station and downtown Kansas City in the technology room, and see how illusions can shift perspectives of the world around them in the perspective room.

The cost of admission to Science City’s Eye Spy exhibit is $16.50, with free admission for kids 12 months and under as well as Union Station members. For more information and details, visit unionstation.org.
