On Monday, the Rams received positive news regarding the status of their injured star receiver Cooper Kupp. After further testing on his right ankle, it was revealed that he has a lateral sprain and is considered day to day. This means that Kupp could potentially play against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Rams coach Sean McVay expressed his excitement about this development, stating, “That was positive news for us.” He added that Kupp has been working hard to recover and has every intention of being available for the game.

In addition to Kupp’s potential return, the Rams will also be monitoring the functionality of rookie receiver Puka Nacua’s shoulder this week. Nacua sustained an injury on a pass interference penalty in the fourth quarter. Like Kupp, he is currently listed as day to day.

The team will also see the return of running back Kyren Williams this week. Williams has not played since Week 6 when he sprained his left ankle. McVay expressed his enthusiasm about having Williams back on the field, stating, “It’ll be great to be able to get him back, his productivity, his play energy, his overall presence – he’s a guy that we’ve missed.”
