Buchanan County, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Geater Machining and Manufacturing. As part of her ongoing effort to recognize small businesses across Iowa, Ranking Member Ernst will highlight a different business in each of the state’s 99 counties throughout this Congress.

Founded in 1962 by Duane Geater, Geater Machining and Manufacturing has continued to grow while remaining rooted in Independence, Iowa. The company prides itself on producing high-quality precision machines and fabricated parts for the aerospace, electronics, and high-tech industries.
