DOE Issues Solicitation for Support Services for National Energy Technology Laboratory Facility Operations

An 8(a) small business set-aside contract for Site Operations Support Services 5 has been issued by the Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory. This contract involves providing a range of housekeeping and facility operation services to support the laboratory’s operations. The services required for SOS5 include research and development, general engineering, site operations, property management, industrial hygiene, and waste disposal support.

The RFP was posted on SAM.gov on Monday and will benefit the NETL facilities in Oregon, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The specific work locations and contract type cost will be determined based on the requirements. SOS5 has a base period of performance of 24 months, with three options available that can extend the work to 60 months if exercised.

Small businesses are encouraged to respond to the RFP by May 17th. The selected contractor will play a critical role in ensuring efficient operations and maintenance of the NETL facilities while providing a safe and clean working environment for the Department of Energy’s staff working at these sites.
