Several Oklahomans transitioning from SoonerCare to the new SoonerSelect health plan

From April 1st onwards, many Oklahoman SoonerCare users will be moving to a new health plan called SoonerSelect. The Oklahoma Healthcare Authority has announced that over half of the current users will be covered under this new plan. The SoonerSelect health plan caters to non-disabled children, children in foster care, low-income parents, pregnant women, and non-disabled adults aged 19 to 64.

As members switch to the new plan, it is important for them to confirm the changes with their healthcare providers to ensure they remain within the network. New identification cards should have already been received by all members; however, if not, they should contact MySoonerCare.org for assistance.

According to the Oklahoma Healthcare Authority, SoonerSelect prioritizes health and wellness initiatives both inside and outside of traditional medical settings. The program closely monitors quality metrics to determine how well the plans help members achieve their health goals, improve their health outcomes, and enhance their overall quality of life.

For those who are eligible but have not yet chosen SoonerSelect as their health plan, they have until June 30th to make any necessary changes to their coverage. It is recommended that individuals review the new plan options carefully and select the one that best suits their individual healthcare needs.
